Kori Mauch Photography http://www.korimauchphotography.com Blog Tue, 15 May 2012 04:14:47 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3.1 After my own heart http://www.korimauchphotography.com/2012/05/15/after-my-own-heart/ http://www.korimauchphotography.com/2012/05/15/after-my-own-heart/#comments Tue, 15 May 2012 04:14:47 +0000 korimauch http://www.korimauchphotography.com/?p=512 When I was a young girl, a bit younger than Kelli, I was a horse lover.  I was fortunate enough to be around horses quite a bit as a girl and was totally enamored with them.  I loved them so much that I would refuse to wash my hands after being with the horses because I loved them smell.  I know if you’re  a horse lover, you’ll totally get that…everyone else just wrote me off as a crazy person!  Well, despite her lack of exposure to actual horses, Kelli has also developed a great interest.  She brings books home from the library weekly to read up on the the equine world.  For her birthday all she asked for was to be able to ride a horse.  It was a blast to watch that happen this past weekend.  A sweet lady from our church had us over to her beautiful home just outside of town and walked Kelli through some grooming and basic riding instructions and things you need to know to be safe.  Kelli was in heaven.  Memories flooded back of my childhood and it was a joy to watch her experience some of the same.  She seemed to be a natural.  Including staying on the horse, and remaining quite calm, when he got quite spooked at one point.  ’Bout gave this mom a heart attack.  Loving these pictures and I’ll let them tell the rest of the story….

These next two remind me of the posters that covered my wall when I was Kelli’s age…

Jenny, thank you so much for helping Kelli’s birthday wish come true.

We had so much fun and she kept saying, “I wish I could go back in time and do this morning all over again!”

You might remember her from last fall.  Her mommy had so many cute clothes and props that I don’t think I needed to use one single thing that I brought and today she hit it out of the park again with cuteness!  I just love her style and am thrilled to help her get an image from her mind into reality!  So, Sarah, thank you for all your help with making these photos extra adorable!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Mom even made these awesome paper pinwheels!!  Yep, she is amazing!

Sarah, if this chair ever goes missing (and the white one too, for that matter) I should be your first suspect!  :)
